Commercial Banking Company
As a community bank, Commercial Banking Company’s (CBC) emphasis is on building relationships and meeting the needs of the people in South Georgia who live and work in the communities they serve. Chartered as a state bank in Hahira, Georgia in 1929 at the start of the Depression Era, CBC soon earned a reputation as a progressive banking institution that focused mainly on agricultural lending.
In 1990, CBC entered the Valdosta market with the opening of its North Valdosta Road location. The Langdale Company purchased CBC in 1995 and subsequently moved the bank’s headquarters to Valdosta. In 2000 they opened the Baytree Road, Valdosta location and in late 2005 added a new location in Moultrie, Georgia.
