Langdale Farms, LLC
Farming has been a part of The Langdale Company for decades. In the 1970’s Langdale Farms had approximately 500 acres of tobacco allotments, making it the world’s largest tobacco grower. Today Langdale Farms is a producer of soybeans, peanuts, cotton, pecans, tomatoes, hay, cattle and fish. The most recent addition is tilapia “farming”, which began fish production in 2001. A quarter of a million pounds of tilapia are now being harvested annually. The fish are sold to “live markets” and restaurants.
